Alexander Gumbs, FNP/PMHNP-BC, is more than just a highly qualified healthcare provider—he is a steadfast ally in the journey towards mental wellness. With an unwavering commitment to his patients, he has dedicated his life to aiding individuals in navigating the complex landscape of clinical mental health challenges. Driven by empathy and understanding, Gumbs brings an approachable and compassionate demeanor to his practice, making him a trusted partner for those grappling with mental health issues.
Fluent in both English and Spanish, Gumbs has honed his skills and cultivated a multicultural perspective that enables him to connect with a diverse array of patients. He earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in nursing from the esteemed SUNY Downstate and went on to further specialize in Psychiatry at Molloy University. Beyond his clinical practice, Gumbs is also shaping the future of healthcare as a Professor at Molloy University. Here, he imparts his knowledge and expertise to aspiring professionals in the field through a course called “Practicum in Primary Care III.” Regardless of his role—be it healthcare provider, educator, or mentor—Gumbs consistently embodies his motto, “We are all in this together,” reminding us of the power of unity and understanding in overcoming life’s challenges.
